WHEN I preach a united Nigeria despite our many problems, some people become so angry as if I punctured their livers. Their intestines turn in livid convulsion.
Ironically, they want me to forcefully buy their desperate opinion that Nigeria must disintegrate.
If my opinion does not count but you want me to respect yours, then you are worse than the oppressor both of us are angry about. Why should I listen to you when I can clearly see that you have no strategy and timeline of action?
You cannot fight an oppressor when you struggle to force your opinion down the throats of others. You are neither angrier nor fought than many of us about the situation in Nigeria today. It is our collective duty to break the spines of our oppressors. Nothing less!!
Either we partner in our anger towards a common purpose by fighting our common enemies and reclaiming our God-given resources, or you should simply stay on your lane and stop teaching me how to breathe as I commence the deleting process.
Of all the many unreported stabbing, shooting, discrimination and inequality going on in America, they alway pray ' God bless America'. Is covid-19 not killing more blacks in the United States of America? Why? Marginalization!
I lived in Hungary. It is a country that is almost half the population of Lagos. They fought wars and targeted their enemies with various people's voices. Between 1914 and 1945 they fought 6 wars excluding the over 100 they fought before 1914. However, in 1956 they rose with one voice and fought a common revolution different from the others they previously fought in factions.
Today, Hungarians have won 13 Nobel prizes in various fields while the whole of Africa as won just 28. They built new castles from the ashes of their ruins and became a sweet tourists delight in the heart of Europe. They refused to run away from their oppressors!
Nigeria has fought just one war and we continue to whine and grin sleeping on the ashes of our past as if tomorrow can never be better. I refuse to share in your pessimism. I mirrored the lives and the many struggles of Hungarians and I killed my days of fear!
All human beings are born for battles. You will inherit and fight the battles that your parents refused to fight because they remained silent. Now you must know that we are fighting two invisible battles - the one neglected by our parents and the ones we must not neglect for our children to inherit. Our less than 5,000 politicians are stubborn like satanic mien but the 200 million of us must be fierce with fangs of purpose.
I am yet to see a war that was won without a battle. There has never been peace from peace. There is only peace from war. There is no good war and there is no bad peace. For you to have peace, you must be ready for war. You must refuse to run away like a dog with his tail between its legs. We must fight our war with strategy and non-violent tact.
The Nigerian project is a task that must be done. Gather your anger and bank them in the vault of hope. Withdraw them as in ATMs and use them as arsenals for the struggle. Unleash them with fire and never miss the target.
Sun Tzu taught us that the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting...
Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting'. Our fight in Nigeria is peculiar.
Their Jeeps must be seized because they are the hospital ambulances they refused to buy. Their temporary mansions must be seized to become the schools and hospitals they refused to build. Our money!
We can never be free as long as we argue amongst, and insult ourselves. Never!
If we move together far away from tribe, religion and other petty considerations, not too long from now the 'rich' may no longer sleep because the angry will be awake. We shall never overcome the oppressors until we are angry enough to shout a resounding #NO!!
Nigerians are not angry enough yet. When that day comes, we shall not need a leader because we shall all be leaders.
The revolution will only come through a collective and unguided anger from a common boiling point.
Direct your anger at them; not at me because on Nigeria I unapologetically stand.
We must go no where until we conquer!!!!
