SOUTHERN KADUNA KILLINGS: Ashiru Kudan Doles Out #.5m To IDP’s

"Isa Ashiru as a compassionate citizen in Kaduna State deemed it necessary to extend his support to the victims who are suffering the brunt of violent attacks visited upon their peaceful communities"..... Buba Galadima

Gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in the 2019 governorship elections in Kaduna state, Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan, has doled out a cash sum of #500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) to victims of Fulani attacks in the Southern Kaduna axis of the state.

The donation, according to Hon. Isa Ashiru, is to assist and alleviate the plight of the victims of Fulani attacks.

Leader of the delegation, Ambassador Sule Buba, while making the presentation on behalf of Hon. Ashiru, alongside other PDP stakeholders in Zonkwa on Monday, said Isa Ashiru as a compassionate citizen in Kaduna State deemed it necessary to extend his support to the victims who are suffering the brunt of violent attacks visited upon their peaceful communities.

At the Mercy IDP Camp, Galadima stressed that the presentation of the cash donation on behalf of Isa Ashiru, is to help augment management of the camp, including providing for the displaced persons.

Buba Galadima disclosed that the sight of the displaced persons in the camp was devastating especially the sight of small children and women who have become orphans and widows.

"Kaduna State has witnessed myriads of insecurity. It is high time for the Government to step up and curtail the lingering senseless killings that has been going on unabated”, he stressed.

“God has created us together and there is need for us to embrace each other and coexist as peaceful Nigerians”.

Coordinator of the camp, Reverend Gambo Waziri while receiving the donation, thanked Hon. Isa Ashiru for remembering the victims and rendering his support.

"We thank God for those that have shown concern and also considered humanity first, before any other thing”.

Reverend Waziri lamented that, except for the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, the camp has not received any call from the Government sympathizing with the victims since the formation of the Mercy IDP camp.

The delegation to the Mercy IDP Camp included Hon. Yohanna Allahmagani, Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki, Alhaji Tijanni Musa, Hon. Ben Bako, Hon. John Bezard, Hon. Naomi Comfort Waziri and Hon. Aisha Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, various individuals and groups from across the country have continued to call on the state and federal government to do everything possible to bring to an end, the mindless and senseless killings.
