"It is compelling to identify with the people of Southern Kaduna, especially in this trying times.

Followings the reported cases of killings in the Southern Kaduna axis of Kaduna state that has continued to attract global condemnation, leaders of various socio-political groups in the country have lent their voices to the call for an end to the insecurity situation the affected area.

The groups which includes Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Pan Niger Delta Forum, and Middle Belt Forum, arrived the state on Saturday, as part of a solidarity visit to the people of Southern Kaduna with a demand for an end to the incessant killings in the area.

While speaking with journalists, Spokesperson of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Mr. Ken Robinson stressed that PANDEF and other groups such as Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo felt it compelling to identify with the people of Southern Kaduna, especially in this trying times.

According to Hon. Robinson, "we emphatize with the people of Southern Kaduna where several people have been killed and properties destroyed by suspected Fulani herdsmen and bandits". 

"The fact that the killings had not stopped, implied that the President, Major General Muhammad Buhari (Retd.) had not intervened in the crisis", he said.

The PANDEF spokesman also called for the overhaul of the security architecture in the country so as to forestall the incessant killings in Southern Kaduna.

He lamented that the lack of government's sincerity and the absence of ideas from the Service Chiefs, are the reasons these killings have persisted.

"The capacity is there and, if the will is there to stop the senseless killings and destruction of property, they can stop the crisis in a minute", Robinson stated.
