Delta Community Chair, Ekele bags UN Peace Ambassador

As part of his quest for sustainable peace and development in Warri, Delta state and beyond, the International Association of World Peace Advocates, IAWPA, has bestowed on the Chairman of Aja-Etan Community in Warri South LGA, Delta State an Eminence Peace Ambassador, UN ECOSOC award.
Mr. Billy Ekele, shortly after the award stressed on the need for peace and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of tribe , religion and race.
He called on all his community members as well as all Deltans and those doing business in the area to capitalise on harmonious environment to excel.
Ekele however noted that as UN Eminence Peace Ambassador, he is delighted and will use the rare privilege given him to serve humanity and also, ensure zero violence wherever he finds himself.
The Aja-Etan community Chairman urged those with intention to cause unrest to desist from such plans.

The International Association of Peace Advocates, IAWPA was established as an autonomous body in year 2001 following a resolution by the UN and UNESCO General Assembly declaring 2001, 2010 as a decade of peace and nonviolence.
Some IAWPA aims and objective include to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among groups and individuals through culture as well as education.
During the investiture of World Peace Advocates a lecture titled "International Peace Advocate" 'take the lead' was delivered , His Excellency , Amb. Per Stafsen, Denmark World Peace President, IAWPA, His Excellency Amb. Prince John Egbe, Amb. (Prof.) Chidi Ehiriodo international Director , IAPWA and other community leaders were among those present at the event.
