...... Commends U.S Gov't For Placing Visa Ban On Adams Oshiomole, Other APC Notorious Election Riggers

 

Ahead of Saturday, September 19 Gubernatorial elections in Edo state, gallant youths and eligible voters in Edo State, have been reminded of the need to exhibit high sense of patriotism on Saturday, September 19 governorship election day, by defending their precious votes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Giving this advice on Friday is the Coalition of Intelligentsia for Rule of Law and Justice, CIRLJ, of the PDP, in a statement by the Chief Scribe, Dr. (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe.

Barrister Oghenesivbe, in the statement, said, “it is the constitutional obligations of Edo electorates, to vote their "conscience" and get the governor they truly deserve”.

According to the coalition, “after voting, party agents and voters must of a necessity do the needful by protecting their votes so as to either dislodge, truncate, expose, stop and/or prevent professional election riggers allegedly hired by money bags in the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, from perfecting their anti democratic rigging techniques on election day”.

The group noted that videos trending on social media revealed that Permanent Voters Cards, PVC  racketeering wherein, some eligible voters were fraudulently induced to exchange their PVC’s for Ankara/Adire materials and N10,000 cash, adding that, those involved in the pre-election votes buying criminality wore the POI face caps of the APC.

The group further pointed out that it showed clearly that they acted as agents of the ratified APC candidate, Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu aka POI.

PDP-CIRLJ further stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC must do everything and anything legitimate and within its powers as enshrined in the Electoral Act, to resist and expose any trace of election malpractice, either by the commission's staff, party agents or political contractors, pointing out that the success and failure of the election in Edo State largely depends on either the display of integrity or level of compromise exhibited by the commission's staff; from top to bottom.

The Coalition commended the government and people of the United States of America, for placing a Visa ban on a notorious election rigger and political godfather of the 2020 Edo APC ratified governorship candidate, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole. By virtue of the ban placed on the sacked National Chairman of APC, it was clear that all his actions and inactions in the nation's democratic processes, amounts to acts of criminality and anti democratic principles.

 

"Oshiomhole represents the retrogressive cabal in our democratic process and as such lacked the integrity to stand by any worthwhile governorship candidate in the Edo election”. 

"Osagie Ize-Iyamu is in the same boat with Oshiomhole and both of them are automatically affected by any negative sign or omen in this election. And in the instant case, the APC governorship candidate, Ize-Iyamu has been rejected by the United States and the international community, the same way Oshiomhole his political godfather was rejected as clearly indicated by the visa ban”.

"Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Adams Oshiomhole are birds of the same feather. Their alleged stock in trade as revealed by the U.S Visa ban is to criminally perfect election violence and deploy multifaceted rigging techniques, which Edo people must resist with everything within their individual and collective capacities in this election. 

"American government already set the records straight by rejecting Oshiomhole and impliedly, rejected Ize-Iyamu. MEGA is real, and Obaseki/Shaibu is the choice of Edo people cine September 19.

"It follows that the failure of Oshiomhole is the portion and failure of Osagie Ize-Iyamu in the September 19 governorship election. The way and manner the American government rejected and blacklisted Adams Oshiomhole is going to be the same measure Edo eligible voters will reject and blacklist Osagie Ize-Iyamu on election day”. 

"The signs are there, Obaseki is the clear choice of Edo people.

"The next pleasant scenario shall be the reelection landslide victory of incumbent PDP governor, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki, on September 19, 2020", the group assured.
