KADUNA PDP: SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT.
“It very
pertinent to state here that, throughout this period in view, from 2016-2020, there
were no court cases instituted by anybody in all the party primaries conducted".
“Under the
watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, the votes for the PDP moved from over
four hundred thousand in 2015 to above six hundred thousand and eight hundred
thousand votes in 2019 during the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections
respectively".
"We are also
proud to say that, the Peoples Democratic Party can boast of six and nine
members of both the National Assembly and Kaduna state House of Assembly,
respectively".
Who then,
dares questions our performance!
A surreptitious attempt by
a group, desperate to destroy the Kaduna state Chapter of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, through sponsored articles and write-ups, to discredit,
not just the elders of the party in the state, but also, the leadership at the
national level has been uncovered.
In their desperation, this very
desperate group commenced a campaign of calumny, both in the physical and the
social media but fortunately, many have come to understand their modus
operandi, simply aimed at satisfying their paymasters. This is very sad and
unfortunate.
While it will be wrong to
dignify their bruised egos with a response, it is however, imperative that the
records are set straight so that the average member of our great party, the
Peoples Democratic Party and the public do not end up being mislead or provided
with falsehood.
In their attempt to
misinform and mislead the members of our great party, they raised some issues
which will receive responses that will adequately address every of their failed
attempts to discredit, malign and denigrate persons whose loyalty and
dedication to the PDP cannot be questioned.
In their quest to cause disaffection
amongst members of the Kaduna state chapter of the PDP, this group of
politicians have found willing partners in some foundation members of the PDP
whose political relevance have witnessed a serious downturn and are therefore
prepared to bring down the PDP if things do not go their way.
In causing disaffection within the
party, these group carried their hate far into the National Secretariat of the
party to include the person of the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche
Secondus. Nevertheless, how far will they go in their clandestine activities,
remains to be seen.
To some, it remains unclear as to
why this group of persons have commenced on this voyage of political
self-destruct but however, it is very pertinent to expose the antics of these
desperate bunch as persons.
Therefore, sowing seeds of discord
that is capable of dividing the party ahead of the 2023 general elections has
become a task for them.
While it would have remained
appropriate to ignore the comments of some of the members of this group, it is
very imperative that the air around some of the allegations raised by the group
and their sponsors.
In one of their sponsored articles,
aimed at spreading falsehood against the personality of Honourable Hassan Felix
Hyat, the immediate past state Chairman of the PDP who is seeking a re-election
to the office, the issue of honour was brought to fore.
Responding to the issue, Honourable
Hassan Felix Hyat has this to say; firstly, the writer of the said misleading
publication retired prematurely from service. The question therefore is why was
this so? Where is his honour if, since he went on air that there were no
congresses in 2016 but in the same vein, recognizes the fact that the tenure of
the executives terminated in January 2020 and that the executives refused to
vacate office.
For clarification purposes, it would
suit him to know that Congresses held on the 10/05/2016 for a tenure of four
years (4) and expired the 10/05/2020.
It is also pertinent to ask, why did
his principal, who lost the gubernatorial primaries, fraudulently pick the
senate ticket, which he had earlier rejected? Did he win? Did his Kaduna House
of Assembly candidate win? Why meeting in the house of a governor who lost his
ward even as a sitting governor? Why has he not resigned?
These are questions those who talk
about honour should ask themselves and provide answers.
On the issue of disobedience of court
processes, it is proper to stress that, there was no time that any court
processes were ever disobeyed. The facts are there for all to see. Have they
withdrawn their cases from the court as agreed?
To show their desperation and strong
desire to spread falsehood, they hacked the telephone number of the State
Public relations Officer to issue a “fake Congress notice which was further
used to obtain a court injunction. How deceitful can people go!
Have they, in their quest to turn things
upside down ever followed the Constitution and Procedure of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP for settling grievances before going to court? The answer
is a capital NO.
I wish they can tell the public what
they mean by R-APC and 40%. They just want allocation of 40% of the party’s
structures yet, they are talking of Constitution/Guidelines.
Again, it is very important to ask;
why are they afraid of going into contest?
Why is it that over 80% of the
people in their camps are from the All Progressive Congress, APC and again, how
did they leave the APC? The writer of the various misleading articles being
circulated in the public, is he a registered member of the PDP and if so, which
ward?
Lastly, there is the talk of performance.
It is on record that, under the watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, the PDP
won four (4) Chairmanship and over fifty-five (55) Councilor seats in the Local
government elections of 2018.
We held very fair and credible party
primaries, attested to both nationwide and within by the Independent National
Electoral Commission, INEC and the security agencies.
It is also on record that, under the
watch of Honourable Hassan Felix Hyat, during the 2015 general elections, the
votes for the PDP moved from over four hundred thousand to above six hundred
thousand and eight hundred thousand votes in 2019 during the Presidential and
Gubernatorial elections respectively.
Again, it very pertinent to state here
that, throughout this period in view, from 2016-2020, there were no court cases
instituted by anybody in all the party primaries conducted.
We are also proud to say that, the
Peoples Democratic Party can boast of six and nine members of both the National
Assembly and Kaduna state House of Assembly, respectively.
Who then, dares questions our
performance!
