#EndSARS PROTESTS: SHAME ON NLC; Power Belongs To Nigerians.... Says Timi Frank
"Shame on NLC who sold Nigerians to the Govt. Nigerians have truly demonstrated that power belongs to the people.... Frank.
"NLC can not be relied on to fight for the masses interest".
With the Federal Government eventually caving in to the demands of Nigerians for the scrapping of the now rested Special Anti Robbery Squad, otherwise known as SARS, notable Nigerians are commending one another for the success.
Commending Nigerians for their resilience throughout the protests, political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Timi Frank has lashed out the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC over its inability to stand by the people.
Frank, in a tweet via his verifiable Twitter handle, @RealTimiFrank, sneered at the NLC leadership as the people recorded this victory without their participation.
According to Frank, "Nigerians have truly demonstrated that power belongs to the people".
"Shame on NLC who sold Nigerians to the Govt. Nigerians have truly demonstrated that power belongs to the people. And most importantly, NLC can not be relied on to fight for the masses interest. I commend every Nigerians who didn't back down in this", he tweeted.
It would be recalled that the NLC had earlier, threatened to embark on a strike following the recent hike in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, petrol and electricity tariff (a hundred percent hike) but eventually called off the action in what some keen observers describe as a trade off.
Labour Union leaders have been accused of consistently trading of the people for their selfish gains.
With the #EndSARS victory, Nigerians now know that their well-being and emancipation can no longer be entrusted in the hands of a select few, but in their own hands, if only they can muster the will to take that step.
Timi Frank has remained consistent and a vocal voice demanding that government do the needful in providing quality governance, transparency and Justice to all.
The Bayelsa-born political activist, while speaking with Naij News Alert, stressed that Nigeria can reclaim its enviable position at the top of the pack of developing nations if only the elected leaders deliver on their electoral promises.
"Nigeria has the potentiality to become great again instead of the present beggarly status that the General Muhammadu Buhari led administration has plunged it into, making the country, the poverty capital of the world".
"Buhari's presidency has taken corruption and impunity to another dimension as virtually every sector: from security, health, education and agriculture, all witnessing down slides", Frank stated
