More disclosures have continued to emerge concerning the fleecing of the finances of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, by those appointed to manage its affairs.

According to top investigative online news platform, the PointBlankNews.com, the Sole Administrator of the NDDC, which it has consistently exposed as being a ready tool in the hands of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has "looted #32bn under the guise of paying phoney contractors".

It is recalled that the NDDC Sole Administrator, Effiong Akwa has been enmeshed in several allegations of misappropriation of funds including dubious awards of contracts running into billions of naira and, in order to protect him against prosecution, the MNDA, Godswill Akpabio had used his cronies in the Presidency to shield him using the agency's funds to settle those involved in the protection ring.

The online news platform has further revealed that some of the funds were used to also settle some very prominent traditional leaders in the north with strong links to the presidency.

Jackson Ude, in a tweet from.his verified Twitter handle, @JacksonPbn, revealed that one Dubem Obaze, a co in-law to Akpabio, has been collecting 30% kickback from contractors paid by the commission.
