BANDITS STRIKE BUHARI'S OWN STATE... Abduct Islamiyya School Students

The daily increasing reports of escapades of armed gunmen invading educational environments and abducting pupils and students, especially very young children.

This is capable of completely destroying the educational sector of the country, following the abduction of Islamiyya school pupils and one teacher in Sakkai village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State. 

According to reports monitored from a leading northern establishment, the Daily Trust, the victims were abducted while attending evening lesson within the school premises. 

Although, the details of this most recent  incident remains sketchy, reports state that the whereabouts of the victims are not known as at the time of this report. 

Sources however reveal that, three persons were killed when the heavily armed bandits attacked the town of Batsari, which is the headquarters of Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina state. 

Our reporter on ground disclosed that, according to one of the residents of Batsari informed him that, one of the victims, happens to be his aunt, but unfortunately, died of cardiac arrest due to the sounds of gunshots by the bandits. 

"Out of the three that died, one of the deceased is my aunt while the other two died from stray bullets", the resident is reported to have revealed. 

"When the bandits came to Batsari, we learnt that the security men were at Dankar village which was surrounded by bandits", the resident further disclosed.

On the total number of persons abducted, the resident said that eight persons were abducted by the gunmen during the attack.

Police spokesman in Katsina, SP Gambo Isah, when contacted, said he had to contact DPO Batsari for confirmation, and could not comment on the Faskari incident as military is in charge of the area.
