MAJ. GEN TARFA @ 80: TOP DIGNITARIES, MILITARY OFFICERS STORM BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY

It was a gathering of top military officers of the Nigerian Army, including retired and serving, at the 80th birthday celebration of former Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Major General P. C Tarfa recently.

Among top military officers present at the birthday celebration were the current Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi, (Rtd.) and Maj. Gen. Adeniyi Oyebade,  former Commandant of the Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA.

Others present are, Alhaji Mamman Alkali, Managing Director of the North East Development Commission, NEDC and a host of others.

Maj. Gen. Oyebade, who also served as the General Officer Commanding, the 1 Mechanized Division of the Nigeria Army, Kaduna is a Distinguished Officer  and Gentleman, with an outstanding service and unblemished record throughout his career.

The celebrant, Maj. Gen. P.C Tarfa, before his retirement, had served as the Commandant of the prestigious military institution, the NDA in the 80's while Maj. Gen Oyebade was still an Officer Cadet of the army. With his rise in the army, Oyebade also became the Commandant of the NDA some few years ago before his eventual retirement from the army.

Major General Oyebade (Rtd), while congratulating the Octogenarian, wished him many more years of graceful aging and living in good health and peace.
