DELTA 2023 GUBER TICKET: PDP Governorship Aspirant Consults OSU Governorship Movement.... Seeks Support.

Ahead of the 2023 General Elections in Delta state, a group, under the aegis of the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Governorship Movement, OGM recently played host to a top contender for the Gubernatorial ticket, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Chief James O Augoye.

According to a statement from the National Publicity Secretary of the OGM, Edwin Ekaragha, the aspirant, Chief James Augoye and his entourage were received at the OGM Secretariat, located along Okpe Road in the ancient town of Sapele on Sunday, September 12th 2021.

During his visit to the OGM Secretariat, Augoye thanked the leadership and entire members of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Constituency for the good job thus far. 

James Augoye, a former Commissioner for Works in the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, noted that OGM's advocacy efforts is yielding positive results across the State. 

He went on to say that it was in response to the communique issued by OGM that he has come for consultation and to solicit support for his Governorship ambition.

He assured members present of his preparedness to run for Governor of Delta State come 2023 and has come humbly to put himself forward to serve on behalf of the good people of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie federal constituency. 

Chief Augoye mentioned that the wealth of experience garnered from working closely with the present Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has adequately equipped him to govern the State. 

The National Coordinator, on behalf of all OGM members, thanked Chief James O. Augoye for finding OGM worthy and that his visit marks the beginning of good things to come.

In an emotion laden voice, Comrade Ese Sanco acknowledged the fact that this meeting was an epoch making one,  being the first aspirant to have done so.  

The National Coordinator also went on to eulogize Chief James O Augoye for being the first of aspirants to respond to OGM's call for support towards setting up the Secretariat and other ancillary services. 

Sanco therefore prayed that God grants him his heart desires inasmuch as the entire OGM is solidly behind him.

A brief question and answer session commenced wherein, the Governorship hopeful revealed that, having served as a Councillor, Local Government Chairman and thereafter, as Honnourable Commissioner for Works, he has been privileged to develop a blueprint to jumpstart the infrastructural development of the State. 

OSU members and Coordinators from Delta North and South were introduced and welcomed as well.

The Deputy National Coordinator 1, Mrs Odiete, admonished the governorship hopeful to engage in an all inclusive government where women and youths developmental programmes should form the bedrock of his Administration. 

The National Publicity Secretary, Mr Edwin O Ekaragha thanked Chief Augoye and his entourage for the visit and wished him well.
