If positions for elective offices are rated by the strength of the candidates or aspirants, one man who stands tall amongst his peers for the office of the Lagos state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, it certainly will be Dr. Adebiyi Abiodun Phillips; a gentleman to the core, an unassuming personality with the fear of God.

Dr. Phillips, as he is fondly addressed by his teeming supporters, friends and political associates, is a core Lagosian from the very famous Phillips family in Lagos Island. 

As a very committed party man, Dr. Phillips believes in a working Lagos State PDP that will be for all. 

With a rich and intimidating CV, Dr. Adebiyi Abiodun Phillips is a member of the various knowledgeable bodies which includes; 

* *Chartered Institute of Administration* which gives him enough energy to managing all about the Lagos PDP in a very sane and crisis free manner as a chartered administrator. 

* Clergy and member of different Christian bodies across board which includes, The United Aladura Churches, Christian Council of Nigeria, Organization of African Instituted Churches, All African Conference of Churches, World Council of Churches and Christian Association of Nigeria.

Politically, Dr. Phillips, over the years has always been concerned and involved in finding lasting solutions to the numerous crisis that has bedeviled the Lagos PDP. He initiated the 'PDP Peace Ambassadors' with very committed and passionate PDP members from all the LGAs to ensure that peace reigns across board. 

Dr. Phillips, as an independent minded personality that has the fear of God, has been given numerous awards by different organisations for his selfless service to humanity. He has also attended different seminars and conferences in numerous professional fields. 

For his brilliance and passion for a stable Lagos State, Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole, he was made the Chairman, Strategic/Planning Committee of Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland. He is a public commentator and political analyst. He is also the Founder, Visionary Group for the actualization of June 12 in Kano State.

Academically, Dr. Phillips is the Governor General of The Nigeria College of Administration, Imo State University, Aldesgate College/University Philliphes,  Aldersgate.

The pressure from some concerned party members forced Dr. Phillips out to contest for the repositioning of the Lagos PDP. He completely agreed and has offered himself for the position of the State Chairman in order to break the jinx of losing since 1999. 

Come 2023, Dr. Phillips will use all his connections within and outside the party to mobilize the general public to vote for the Lagos PDP and win all our elections.
