Sources close to Sadiq Mamman Lagos, the one time chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Council of Kaduna State, way back in 1996, have revealed that the respected gentleman is safe and unhurt, following an attack by bandits, along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

According to the very reliable source, "Alhaji Sadiq Maman Lagos is fine. I just spoke with him and the wife".

"He was the one driving while his son was seated in front seat with him and his daughter and in-law were at the back of the car. About 30 bandits came out on the road and he drove in on high speed and they cleared but shot at the car from behind and that was how they got the two women. Presently, they are at St. Gerald's Catholic Hospital where he said they are responding to treatment", the source disclosed.

Sadiq Mamman Lagos, it is recalled, was chairman of Kaduna North Local Government in 1996. The controversy that trailed his age after he won the election, shot him to limelight, reports reveal.
