Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Reckless Spending Of Campaign Fund In Foreign Lands: Another Bane of Nigeria Economy, By David Adenekan.

To start with, the video clip below on 'Arise News' that is trending in the news show a reckless and ridiculous campaign advertisement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in England. The fundamental question to ask, is Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu joining the labor or conservative party in England to run for election? 

Alas, this is one of the reasons for the free fall of Naira (our national currency). Will this kind of reckless spending not create a big balance of payment deficit and further decrease the value of Naira? 

A huge amount of campaign funds that would have been spent in Nigeria and

stimulate our domestic economy to strengthen the value of Naira is being taking to England to run a needless campaign for Tinubu at the detriment of the tax payers in Nigeria. Where is the source of all these ill gotten wealth? Is the source not from the unmindful and wicked looting of Lagos state treasury?

Also, to the so called protagonists of BAT, "tell it to the marines" that the source of this campaign fund in question was not tacitly or directly from the pulse of Lagos state government. 

Moreover, to run such campaign advertisement in public places like airport and train station in Englsnd will run into thousands of pound sterling.

Again, the question is, why is Tinubu or his acolytes using such a huge amount of money to run a campaign advertisement in England when he will not contest in England? 

Frankly speaking, when you take into cognizance the level of abject poverty in Nigeria, why should someone with a right sense of mind waste such a big amount of campaign fund in a foreign land when we all know that Nigerians outside the shore of Nigeria will not be allowed to vote or voted for. 

Is this kind of reckless spending not insane? 

In addition, is Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu now a naturalized citizen of great Britain and will  contest for elective office in England?

Moreover, why is Tinubu or his disciples wasting such a ridiculous amount of money on campaign advertisement in a foreign land and not in Nigeria; when such money could have helped advertising company in Nigeria to create jobs and wealth for our restless youths in Nigeria? 

Would it not be a multiplier effects on our domestic economy if the money was spent in Nigeria?

Methinks this is counter productive and make no sense. 

However, Nigerians should decide if Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the kind of leader they want to cast their votes for in 2023. This is if he throw his hat in the ring and the unending crisis that is looming will allow 2023 general elections to come into fruition. 

Hmmm, what a monumental wastage of  resources in far away England by  Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu or his supporters!

Time will tell!
