BELGORE GIVES BENEFITS OF WALKING AND JOGGING...Says It Enhances Healthy Living

The Permanent Secretary at the Interior Affairs Ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore has drawn attention to the benefits inherent in participating in daily walking and jogging exercises.

Dr. Belgore stated this at the inaugural "TITI Memorial Walk for Heart" walking/jogging which took off from the Unity Fountain Abuja to the National Eagle Square. 

This exercise was organised by the TITI & KIKI foundation on the 20th of November 2021; a 5km health walk.

According to Dr Belgore, "a minimum of two hours walk per day will help the heart and breathing." He doubles as a medical personnel and a successful heart surgery patient of over twenty years now. 

The Perm. Sec. appreciated the founder of the foundation in the person of Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf who named the foundation after his late wife and son who lost the battle against heart diseases.

Notable guests were the chairman of the event Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara who was represented; Captain of the event Mr Sada Agara, President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria; Hon. Dr Ibrahim Shehu, President  of the Athletic Federation of Nigeria;

Dr Stephen Olorunfemi; Hon. Francis Agbo, House Committee Hon. Rimamoide Shawulu and delegates such as Asst. Corp Marshall Oladele Clement; Hon Fred Agbedi. Directors and senior officers from the Ministry of Interior were also there in their numbers.

Vital checks were taken by Dr Usi of the Port Health Services from the Public Health Department of the  Federal Ministry of Health.

Titi and Kiki Memorial Foundation was founded by Hon. Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf (TeeJay) on the 2nd of November, 2020. Since its establishment, the organization have supported with full funding, the successful completion of a reconstructive heart surgery with (special implants including mechanical heart valve and tricuspid ring) for a troubled patient at the Cardiovascular Department of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).  

It was a truly healthy walking jogging for the heart.
