Investigations in the Southeastern state of Anambra where elections recently held and, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo emerged winner, has unearthed a calamitous mistake, made by the renowned Economist and Banker.

According to findings, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo who came 2nd in the November 6, 2021 Anambra State Governorship election, may be sworn in as the next duly elected Governor of Anambra State. 

It further revealed that, Prof. Charles Soludo, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA who emerged as the actual winner of the election allegedly filed in for "Aguata 2 State Constituency election" not "Anambra Governorship election 2021" in his Form EC9 as submitted to INEC. 

Political observers have described this as a collosal error.

However, pundits and stakeholders alike have chosen to allow the law courts decide as the hearing of the matter starts with many expressing fears of another judicial decision like in Bayelsa State.

This has sent out a huge tidal wave in the APGA camp knowing the import and implications of such a costly error to the people of Anambra state, who came out in defiance to the threats to their lives, to vote for the candidate of their choice, Charles Soludo.

Some are however, raising their anger against those who made the discovery and chose to head to the Court, describing it as a minor error that the Court would overlook and allow the people have their way, for once.

Will what transpired in "Bayelsa state" play out again in Anambra, in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP?

Well, some supporters of the PDP candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo,  actuhave thebegun to send alout congratulatory messages awaiting the outcome of the Court,following the fact that he polled over 53,000 votes to emerge second during 2021 Anambra Governorship Election.
