  A Human Rights Activist, Comrade Israel Joe has made proposals that should be added in the "Action Plan" that will be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Human Rights Activist made the proposal at the just concluded National Youth Conference held in Abuja.

The Conference was declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari, ably  represented by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo with the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare as the key Panelists. 

The Ministers for Labour, Information, Budget and Planning, including the European Union delegation, were also present at the conference.

Comrade Joe, who is one of Delta State's delegate at the conference said his proposal has not been added to the action plan.

He said; "If we do not discuss the difference that will make the difference in the conference, there is no difference with other different conferences of the past. 

According to Comrade Joe, "As youths we cannot gather to chart a way forward without talking about the #EndSARS protest and lessons to be learnt. 

"There is no symbolism with Nigeria Celebrating National Youth day on 1st of November."

He proposed that instead of the government to keep deploying security forces to Lekki Tollgate and other places in Nigeria every 20th October to disperse youths reminiscing and marking the Lekki Tollgate incident, the federal government should declare 20th of October a public holiday and National Youth Day instead of 1st November.

"There is no other respect you can give to Youths in Nigeria than making that day a symbolic date of history where Youths sacrificed their lives in protest against Police Brutality and misgovernance".
