2023 PRESIDENCY AND ZONING: ATIKU ABUBAKAR SUPPORTERS SPIT. .... Is The North East Not A Geopolitical Zone?

"Let us be mindful that, power shift arrangement is within the political party of PDP and not an inter-party arrangement as it is not backed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria." Hon. Diwong.

The struggle to regain power by PDP should be given critical consideration to zones that has not yet tested governance at the consideration here in stated.

A group of concerned Nigerians under the aegis "Coalition of North West Support Groups for Atiku have called for Nigerians to be reminded of the various political trends.

The group gave this assertion in a statement issued and signed by its National Chairman, Hon. Zachariah Sunday Diwong, on Tuesday, 01 March 2022 in Kaduna as it relates to its calls and support for nigeria's former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON.

According to Honourable Zachariah, "It's very important we remind Nigerians of the various political trends in Nigeria which comprises of 6 Geopolitical zones.

"Each of these zones are independent and capable of presenting an Aspirant." Diwong asserted.

Speaking further, Zachariah, a strong advocate for quality and sustainable democratic dividends by the elites, noted that, "In 1999, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo came to power from the South West Geo-political zone.

"He had  a constitutional two term of 8years tenure which ended in 2007. 

"Obasanjo and PDP handed power successfully to the Late HE. Alh. Umaru Musa Yaradu'a, of blessed memory." He revealed.

"Unfortunately, but to the Glory of God, Late HE. Umaru Yaradu'a couldn't end his tenure, as it pleases God. HE. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan concluded Late Yaradu'a tenure and seek election.

"In 2011 power went back to South South Geo-political Zone, under the leadership of HE. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. 

"He was on the seat for a tenure of four (4) years, here, power changed hand from PDP to APC.

"Let us be mindful that, power shift arrangement is within the political party of PDP and not an inter-party arrangement as it is not backed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"The struggle to regain power by PDP should be given critical consideration to zones that has not yet tested governance at the consideration here in stated.

"We must herein consider the following Geo-political Zones as follows.

- South East Geo-political zone

- North Central Geo-political Zone

North East Geo-political Zone.

He further reiterated that, "for fairness, equity and justice and in accordance with the PDP zoning arrangement, the above 3 Geo-political Zones  should be allowed or consider for the seat of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"I want to call on PDP faithfuls from these 3 Geo-political Zones to come together and strategize towards the continuing flow in the direction of PDP zoning.

"I also want to suggest that the above insistence should be mindful of the present state of our country Nigeria, that is, the Candidacy that will be generally accepted and capable of taking power from the present government.

"A candidacy that will continue to support the arrangement/direction of flow as contained in zoning.

"The circle of zoning arrangement must be completed.

"The zoning arrangement is obligated on PDP not mindful of other political parties exertion.

"HE. Atiku Abubakar is from North East Geo-political Zone.

"Furthermore, I want to call on the attention of Nigerians that, Nigeria today is in a very sorry state that we needs not just any one to manage and maintain it, but we need a highly Experience, Competent and stable leader to, as a matter of urgency, safe Nigeria from collapsing.

"We need a leader who Knows Nigeria and all it organs.

"We need a leader who has been involved in high leveled governance and who has been contributing in suggesting how Nigeria will be salvage.

"HE Atiku Abubakar possessed these qualities.

"Let's support a credible candidate and save Nigeria from collapsing

"Let's support HE. Atiku Abubakar for 2023 Presidency.

"Let's support PDP in 2023." The statement read.
