"The bandits struck simultaneously late Thursday night, at about 9:45pm in U/Bulus and U/Gimbiya."

Residents of Ungwan Gimbiya and Ungwan Bulus, in Sabin Tasha of Chikun local government area of the state are currently under tense conditions as armed men once again struck, shooting sporadically and abducting scores of people.

Reports reveal that the bandits struck simultaneously late Thursday night, at about 9:45pm in U/Bulus and U/Gimbiya.

Although, calls for support by residents security personnel have been said to have been dispatched to relevant security authorities within the area, a source stressed that help may not arrive the affected communities on time.

Ungwan Gimbiya, had for a while come under attack by armed groups who maim and kill while also abducting scores, had experienced some lull in the activities of these marauders.

Many residents have since fled their homes for safer areas for fear of being victims. One therefore wonders why the security agencies are slow to responding to calls considering the proximity o and closeness of the MOPOL 1 Barracks and the Artillery Barracks of the Nigeria Army.
