"The time to build and unify the people and all aggrieved members is now and not for divisive and undemocratic processes." Olorogun Ono-Sorhue.

"The PDP as the only option for the rebirth of democratic processes, strengthening of the rule of law, reinforcing confidence in the security apparatuses, restoration of dignity of human life and especially, rebuilding the economy of the people and the nation at large."

Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has congratulated the PDP Governorship candidate in delta state, Rt. Honourable Francis Sheriff Oborevwori, the U’kodo of Okpe Kingdom over the pronouncements of the Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, on 16 June 2022.

This follows the dismissal of four (4) suits challenging the candidacy of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Francis Sheriff Oborevwori, as the recognized flag bearer of the PDP, for the 2023 Governorship elections in delta state.

Olorogun Ono-Sorhue, a member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building  Council and a respected foundation member of the Peoples Democratic Party, in a statement released on Saturday in Warri by his media assistant, Emmanuel Onotevure, stressed that, the time to build and unify the people and all aggrieved members is now and not for divisive and undemocratic processes.

He described the PDP as the only option for the rebirth of democratic processes, strengthening of the rule of law, reinforcing confidence in the security apparatuses, restoration of dignity of human life and especially, rebuilding the economy of the people and the nation at large.

“The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, remains Nigerians only option to a better future for Nigerians and nigeria including generations to come as the destruction emplaced by the All Progressive Congress, APC, will take only those conversant with true end genuine democratic processes and leadership capabilities to right the wrongs of the last seven years of the Buhari led administration.”

“We must, as a party with the right persons of proven integrity, mind of purpose, leadership capacity, join forces and move our beloved delta state forward owing to the fact that, in every contest, there are winners and losers. As winners, we should recognize our fellow contestants and ensure that everyone is carried along in leading and developing the people and state while, as losers, it becomes imperative that we join our brothers and sisters in providing quality leadership and proffer quality solutions and counseling.”

Describing the suits as sometimes, unnecessary distractions and capable of causing disaffections, Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue while congratulating the PDP Governorship candidate, appealed for calm from all aggrieved members including their supporters as the task ahead in ensuring that the party remains in the Dr. Dennis Osadebey House come 2023 and beyond, is still ahead.

He commended the leadership of the PDP in the state and also, the national level for its successful conduct of party primaries, noting that the exercise has placed the party as a more serious, focused and determined group of men and women of integrity with leadership capabilities.

He commended the party for its ability to meet with INEC guidelines and directives in the selection of a credible and effective candidate as a Vice Presidential candidate unlike the other parties, including the All Progressive Congress APC that could not immediately produce her own VP candidate.

He wondered how a party; the APC that is so incapable of properly conducting peaceful primaries and selection of a Vice Presidential candidate could have led this great nation. No wonder the country is where it is today.

Olorogun Eddie Ono-Sorhue also used the opportunity to congratulate the PDP Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon Francis Sheriff Oborevwori on the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary, even as he prayed for God's continued guidance, grace and mercy that will guide him on in life.

He enjoined the celebrant to remain focused on God's word, as he pursues his gubernatorial ambition.

The PDP elder statesman enjoined Nigerians especially party faithful desirous of a better country to go get their Permanent Voters Card, PVC and vote the PDP back to power, come 2023 as that is the only sure way to rescue their beloved country.
