DISASTER: FLOOD RAVAGES DELTA COMMUNITIES .... Flood Victims Convey Dead Relatives Via Canoe To Morgue As Gov Okowa Abandons Residents In Pursuit Of Vice Presidential Ambition

"The deceased died at his residence last night but could not be immediately rushed to the morgue because there was no means of transportation due to the flood which has ravaged the whole Community." Ohwogho.

"You cannot enter the town. The water is at roof level. There's no transportation means. Coming out with canoe, we paddled for two hours. The situation is really pathetic. I am calling on the Delta State Government to come to our rescue."

Flood victims in Igbide Community, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State are today, conveying the remains of their deceased relatives following the monumental disaster they experienced from the flooding of their various communities, described as the worst so far, in nigeria.

Our Correspondent who monitored flood activities round town, met some of the flood victims who were seen conveying  one of the deceased persons with a canoe to the morgue, located outside of the town along the Olomoro road which has been ravaged by the flood at a photoshoot of the scene.

In a chat with Our Correspondent, James Ohwogho, an indigene of Igbide Community came the name of the deceased as "Ice Water". 

He said the deceased who has been sick in Kwale was rushed to his hometown for treatment before the flood ravaged their land.
