2023: Group Drum Support For Atiku, Okowa, Oborevwori, Others

"A vote for the People's Democratic Party, PDP should be seen as vote for Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the people of the old Midwestern region." Group.

Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections,a group under the aegies of "The Mid-Westerners" today said drummed supports for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

The group also solicited supports and votes for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and PDP Governorship Candidate and for other candidates.

The group spoke during press brief held in Warri.

The group's address was signed by Hon. Iwemdi Nwaham, Prof. David .T. Ejenobo, Hon. Fidelis Chimoku, Chairman, Executive Vice Chairman, Secretary respectively and Rotarian Kenneth Okwuenu, member.

The group said, "it's time to stop marginalisation" just as it pleased with the Nigerian nation, particularly our brothers and sisters in the other regions to allow the Midwestern region to taste the office for the first time in the history of Nigeria."

The group said, "A vote for the People's Democratic Party, PDP should be seen as vote for Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the people of the old Midwestern region."

It urged all sons and daughters of the old Midwestern region to rise up with one voice to vote for the only party that has given them 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the PDP.

"We call the attention of the political class of Nigeria to take careful note of the wide acceptance of H.E Atiku Abubakar in all his campaign rallies across the length and breadth of Nigeria. There is no doubt that Nigerians are fed up with the 8 years disaster of the All Progressives Congress, APC. A vote for Atiku is a vote for Okowa.

"Similarly, we call the attention of the political class in Delta State to the overwhelming reception which the campaign rallies of the PDP have received in the State. Since 1999, Delta State has remained a PDP State. 

"The three governors who have ruled this State during this period have not disappointed us. Let us vote PDP Candidates in all the elections in Delta State in both the national elections slated for February 25 and the State elections slated for March 11. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is God sent to continue from where Senator Okowa will stop on May 29,2023. 

"He has the capacity and capability to lead this State forward. Let us join hands with the PDP to make Delta State one of the best States in the Nigerian nation.

"In conclusion, we call on all our brothers in the old Midwestern region to rise up as one, to vote PDP in the 2023 general elections."
