DELTA SOUTH 2023: Go Home To Your Grandchildren And Wives .... Politics Is Not For Old People, Delta Communities Tell Older Politicians

"Take their money and vote your conscience on that day of election. We are waiting for the big parties. They will disgrace themselves." Chief Okiemute.

Okurode-Urhobo and Ogunu Communities in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State have said politics is not for the old breed politicians just as they urged the aged politicians to go home and take care of their grandchildren and wives.

The communities, while welcoming the Delta South Senatorial Candidate of the New Nigerian People's Party, NNPP, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama Rtd, said politics is for young persons and not the very aged in the society. 

The Communities made the declaration during a town hall meeting with Commodore Omatseye Nesiama recently.

The Acting Secretary of Ogunu Traditional Council of Chiefs, Chief Kpesu Julius Okiemute spoke on behalf of the Communities, noting that all the old men should go back to their villages and take care of their grandchildren. 

"Politics is made for young men," he said.

Chief Okiemute said there are no better hospitals in the land yet the old politicians travel abroad with the tax payers monies to seek for medical treatment.

While noting that Commodore Omatseye Nesiama is a young man, Chief Okiemute said it is high time people of Ogunu eschew money politics.

According to Chief Okiemute, "I am not telling you not to take money. Take their money and vote your conscience on that day of election. We are waiting for the big parties. They will disgrace themselves."

Chief Okiemute asked Commodore Nesiama to go and sleep as he assured him of their supports and votes in the forthcoming election. He assured that, "Our men are on ground to monitor Ward 3 so that we can win. Those money bags, we are ready to eat their money.

He noted that since 1999, there has been only one party in the area yet no developments has been attracted to their land. 

He said the Ogunu Town Hall was built with the efforts of their own people.

Chief Okiemute again said to the old politicians, "Go home and take care of your grandchildren and wives."

Earlier, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama Rtd sought the prayers, supports and votes of the people of Okurode-Urhobo and Ogunu Communities in the forthcoming election.
