CONDOLENCES AS SENATOR-ELECT, KADUNA CENTRAL MOURNS FATHER ..... Says The Task On Our Shoulders Is Enormous

Senator-Elect, Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the just concluded National Assembly elections of 28 February 2023, Mallam Lawal Adamu Usman, popularly known as Mr LA, has lauded his suporters for their perseverance, before and during the race to the election that saw to his victory at the polls.

Mr. LA gave this commendation while receiving members of the Mr. LA Support Group, led by the conveners, Comrade Ovyeh Ishaya and Ms. Sefinatu Umaru who paid him a condolence visit, on Sunday, 12 March over the demise of his father, at the Mr. LA Care Foundation, in Kaduna.

The group, while addressing the Distinguished Senator-elect, also used the visit to congratulate Mr. LA following his overwhelming victory over his opponents in spite of the booby-traps, political land mines and obstacles emplaced by certain persons in the state, aimed at denying him his mandate.

According to Comrade Ishaya, "this visit is to commiserate with our principal, the Distinguished Senator-elect and his entire family, following the demise of his father.

"We are most pained that this loss is coming at this point in time when we are supposed to be celebrating with you, on our electoral victory.

"We mourn the passing of our father but then, we also thank Almighty Allah and pray He grants the soul of the departed, rest."

"Sir, this electoral victory is indeed a huge one as it did not come easy. We were quite aware that there were open and clandestine moves to frustrate you; our leader and an amiable gentleman whose genuine love and desire to lift mankind away from poverty through your philanthropy and readiness to truly serve the people, from achieving this victory. However, the peoples will, struggle for better representatation could not be denied."

"Distinguished Senator-elect, we, as your supporters, want to say congratulations once again as we patiently await your inauguration into the 10th National Assembly, knowing that you will not disappoint your people.

"May Almighty Allah continue to guide you and give you the wisdom to perform exceedingly well in the Hallowed Chambers of the Senate," Comrade Ovyeh Ishaya prayed.

In his response, Distinguished Senator-elect, Mr. LA appreciated the group for taking out time to come to condole him for the loss of his father and also, their immense support over the years and prayed that Allah will continue to Grant him strength to continue to do his best for mankind.

"The journey was long and, it was our collective patience that saw this victory. It was a turbulent journey. 

"However, we are commencing on a new journey as the people are hoping on us. Therefore, the expectations are going to be high. I pray God Almighty gives me the wisdom and his guidance. I solicit your prayers and support to enable me deliver." He stated.

Co-convener of the group, Ms. Sefinayu Umaru in her response, thanked the Distinguished Senator-elect for the warm reception in spite of the huge number of visitors.

She prayed that the good Lord will help the Distinguished Senator-elect, who before now, has impacted positively on the lives of people in the state, to continue with his goodwill and also, in his new status, deliver quality and sustained democratic dividends.

"Our prayers are that, let God Almighty take us to the nwe heights we seek."

The Distinguished Senator-elect thanked the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial District for the massive support noting that, "I assure you that we will, after our inauguration, show our appreciation for the huge support provided to us. We will do our best to let the people know that what they gave to us, was not in vain.

"I appreciate you all for the time, your prayers and sacrifices. We had it tough but then, with the people solidly by my side, it gave me hope.

He warned that the opposition is playing mind games and spreading tales about and appealed for all to be on the guard against the antics of the APC which, in.his opinion, is not new. 

He assured of his commitment to remain focused and readiness to continue to support members of his party; the PDP in the forthcoming elections. With guidance and wisdom from God Almighty, the days ahead will bring about a new dawn for us all. 

"The APC is trying to cause confusion across board. Mischief and propaganda is being deployed especially negative narratives. The plan is to dissuade the electorates. 

"In this election, the people won this squarely through their insistence for good governance, fairness and equity. I pray that God unites us more and make us benefit from these struggles.

"Our priority is to win the Governorship, House if Assembly elections, come 18th March," he concluded.
