Operatives of the Department of State Security Service, DSS on Friday arrested the sacked Governor of Nigeria's Apex, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. This is trending in the media space.

According to available information, the sacked Godwin Emefiele was arrested shortly after the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced his suspension through a press statement released earlier on Friday, June 09th 2023 by his media aide.

Speculations are rife that the arrest of the sacked #1 banker may be the outcome of an ongoing investigation into the financial activities at the CBN in last couple of years.
