Trending information reveals that Federal Government Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has birthed a first, with the appointment of Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

Hadiza Bala Usman, who, until now served as the Presidential Adviser on Policy Coordination to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Head of Results on Service Delivery Coordination Unit, becomes the first woman to be appointed SGF.

Recall, before her appointment as Presidential Adviser, she served as Chief of Staff to Governor Ahmed Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state in 2015. 

She was also, Nigeria's first Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA.

With this appointment, though yet to be announced, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has indeed proved himself to be a strategist and a firm believer in the ability of Nigerian women to hold very key and sensitive positions.
