FUEL PRICE JUMPS TO #617/LITRE AT NNPC STATIONS IN ABUJA ..... Nigerians Bemoan Fate, Express Shock At Tinubu's Administration

..... As consumers express worries and concerns as to the rationale behind the increase.

Nigerians have expressed their shock and disappointment with the sudden jump in the price of Petrol which has increased to about N617 per litre.

Visits to various major fuel stations earlier today, including one of the retail fuel station owned by the NNPC situated in the Central area of Abuja confirmed the adjustment of the pump price of petrol from N539 to N617 per litre.

The immediate reason(s) for the sudden hike could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

However, consumers have expressed their worries and concerns as to the rationale behind the increase.

From all indications, there is the certainty that the pump price of petrol will hit #700/litre in the next couple of weeks.

How Nigerians will grapple with this increment remains to be seen considering the hue and cry that accompanied the jump from #197/ litre to #539 and #530 a couple of months ago.

The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) is yet to comment on it as at the time of filling this report.
