ACTIVIST SAYS INTIMIDATION WILL NOT SCARE HIM. ..... If We Don't Get Justice, We Would Continue To Push On Every Front."

"I wrote the petition as regards the extortion by the Rivers State Command, but I am surprised that is not the issue they want to treat, but issues that gave rise to the extortion. Are you guys serious? Comrade Israel Joe.

Human Rights Activist, Comrade Israel Joe on Sunday reacted to the recent statement credited to the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi concerning the allegations he had raised earlier, pertaining to "extortion" by some members of the Rivers State Command.

Activist Joe, in his reaction to the statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO ACP Adejobi, with the caption: "DISREGARD, REPORT NAME-DROPPING OF SENIOR OFFICERS BY POLICE INVESTIGATORS IN DUBIOUS, SUSPICIOUS REQUESTS," said that; "In the pillar of natural justice, equity, and good conscience, the Nigeria Police Force is a judge in their own matter."

He pointed that, "Investigating the incident that led to the situation is belated, but they can go ahead and investigate it.

"However, we look forward to an open investigation devoid of sentiment and preconceived notions of the police." He stated.

"Investigations have not been conducted, which led to the release of the victim, his cars, and part of the money, but the NPF is already calling people criminaIs and fraudsters. How can we trust them on a fair trial?

"I wrote the petition as regards the extortion by the Rivers State Command, but I am surprised that is not the issue they want to treat, but issues that gave rise to the extortion. Are you guys serious? He queried.

Speaking further in his press release, Comrade Joe described himself as a committed personality saying; "I am an ardent activist, and if any case of remand comes from poorly scripted investigations, I will be glad to enter into the prison very proudly.

"We will not be scared of such intimidations. The victim will appear as you have invited us, and even if we don't get justice, we would continue to push on every front." He concluded.
