SAPELE LG CHAIRMANSHIP: HON. SMART IDOLOR DECLARES INTENTIONS

Honourable Smart Idolor, a top chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ward 2, Sapele Local Government Council in Delta state has declared his intention to vie for chairmanship position of the council in the forthcoming local government election.

Popularly addressed by his acronym; Smart-D, the amiable grassroot politician, commenced his consultation visit to prominent political leaders, party stalwarts and notable stakeholders of the PDP in the ancient city of Sapele, penultimate week and, his first visit was to his Ward 2 Executives.

In his speech at the parley, Honourable Idolor thanked the party executives for the large turnout, emphasizing on the need for them to support his ambition of becoming the next chairman of Sapele LGA. 

"Undoubtedly, Ward 2 has performed incredibly well in Sapele politics, hence the ward deserves to produce the next Chairman. I have a lot of experience in serving the people as a former councilor in the Sapele local government." He stated.

Urging them to queue behind him as he continued his extensive consultation in the course of actualizing his dream, Smart-D assured the Ward 2 Executives of the PDP of operating an open door policy where each member of the party will expectedly, be carried along in the affairs of leadership, execution of programmes and projects within the council, as one big happy family.

With the contest close by, residents of the ancient city of Sapele popularly known as "Safi" have expressed satisfaction with the calibre of personalities like Honourable Smart Idolor who is highly regarded as a consummate leader with good understanding of the politics at the grassroot and the right leadership disposition, that has indicated his interest to chair the Council. No doubt, "Smart-D" enjoys tremendous goodwill and acceptability amongst the grassroot and political elite.

As part of his wide political consultation, the former Councilor visited the Delta state Chairman of the PDP, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, JP who is also a resident of Sapele where issues bordering on his aspiration were discussed.
