WIKE'S TENURE AS GOVERNOR WAS DIVISIVE AND BIASED..... EZE

Barr. Nyesom Ezewo Wike
Minister, FCT

..... Describes as Fictitious, Claims by a Cartel of Self-styled Elders that Wike Appointed More Ijaw and Riverine Sons into Political Offices to the Detriment of Other Tribes in Rivers State.

..... Presents the Lopsided Appointments by Wike During his Otiose Administration in Rivers State.

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a notable media strategist and public commentator on major political issues in Nigeria, has commended the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party and delegates at the party’s presidential primary poll in 2022, for denying Wike the Presidential ticket.

Chief Eze, while reacting to issues bordering on the leadership of the country particularly, Rivers State where the incumbent Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT hails from and had served as a Governor for two consecutive terms, stressed that, "had he (Nyesom Wike) succeeded in bribing his way through at the primaries and consequently, elected as the President of Nigeria - though most unlikely, he would have sent both Buhari and Tinubu's sectional lopsided appointments to the cleaners."

The APC chieftain and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze says claims by some self-styled Rivers Elders who had gone to meet Wike on a solidarity visit in Abuja, that the former Governor appointed more riverine sons into positions of trust, is a trickish distortion of facts deliberately concocted by the self-serving group in a subtle ploy to renew their nuanced allegiance to an importunate traducer in a bid to continually remain in his good book to sustain the fiscal reward that services their loyalty.

The said elders in their statement titled,  "Rivers Crisis: We stand with Wike, Rivers elders declares", stated:- "H.E. Wike has since facilitated the appointments of more Ijaw sons including Hon. Boma Iyaye as the Executive Director, Finance, NDDC and Hon. Rufus Godwins Ngerewaji as member of Federal Civil Service Commission. He has done more for Ijaw sons and ethnic nationalities than most of these leaders."

Reacting through a statement made available to the media, Eze counselled the monetized elders to shelve misrepresentation of facts and extensively ponder on the lopsidedness in federal appointments in the state influenced by Wike, where virtually all beneficiaries are from Obio/Akpor, and channel their energies towards addressing Wike’s nepotistic tendencies before talking down on Sim Fubara who is determined to liberate the state from the shackles of evil strangulation.

The party chief said it is unfortunate to learn that the monetary reward by Wike for service of loyalty to these bootlicking elders has so beclouded their senses of reasoning as to be able to discern that the ploy by the Rumuepirikom hawk to push Fubara out of the seat of power is for the ultimate end of installing the suspended speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, another half-witted Obio/Akpor loyalist of the FCT Minister, as Governor.

Chief Eze said Wike’s expansionist agenda and continued hold on Rivers State is not about a fight for Ikwerre, but a satanic struggle to continually exert his untamed avarice and manifest dexterity in the looting of the state’s treasury which was his stock in trade all through the pendency of his eight-year rule as Governor.

The party chief described the elders as a gang of parasitic wasps unduly exploiting the volatility of the polity at the moment, to murderously prey upon the massive wealth amassed by Wike from the common patrimony of Rivers people.

Eze highlighted a long list of appointees from one tribe out of many tribes in Rivers State, appointed during the Wike regime, but still holding office, thus, exposing the impudence of Wike's customary nepotism which is on record as the highest in the country.

With this level of impunity and high-handedness tell me if Wike merits to be a leader in a multi-ethnic society like Rivers State.

Eze commended the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party and delegates at the party’s presidential primary poll in 2022, for denying Wike the Presidential ticket, stressing that had he succeeded in bribing his way through at the primaries and consequently elected the President of Nigeria - though most unlikely, he would have sent both Buhari and Tinubu's sectional lopsided appointments to the cleaners.

The former party image maker called on Rivers people to shelf ethnicity, unite, rally round the Governor and project a common front in order to fight off the common enemy- Wike, and fully recover the state for the common people to whom power belongs and who truly own the state.
