Following allegations of his perceived involvement in the ongoing financial sleaze at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, the President is said to have invited the the Minister for Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo to the Presidential Villa.

The scandal at the Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Ministry is likely to consume many who were engaged in "consultancy services".

However, further findings reveal that the crux of the matter that has dragged in Tunji-Ojo into the investigation is the award of a substantial consultancy contract worth N438 million for the National Social Register to the New Planet Projects Ltd, a company in which Minister Tunji-Ojo is identified as a beneficial owner.
