Tragedy has again struck the creative and entertainment industry barely weeks after the demise of John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu as news of the death of Amaechi Muonagor filtered in on Sunday.

Amaechi Muonagor, who passed away today at the age of 61, was until his passing, a prominent member of the movie industry whose stint spans over two decades.

Reports indicate that Muonagor succumbed to complications arising from kidney-related issues, diabetes, and a prior stroke. 

In 2023, he suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed, specifically affecting his left leg. Since then, he had been undergoing weekly dialysis and physiotherapy to address the aftermath of the stroke.

Throughout his illustrious career, Muonagor graced the screens with his talent, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. He appeared in numerous Nigerian movies, earning acclaim for his role in the popular film “Aki and Paw Paw,” where he portrayed the father of two mischievous young boys.

He leaves behind his wife, Hope Chikodi Muonagor, and their children, as well as a legion of grieving fans who have taken to various platforms to express their sorrow over his passing."
