A former Nigerian International Footballer, Tijjani Babangida on Thursday 9th May 2024 was involved in an auto crash along the Kaduna-Zaria highway.

Tijjani Babangida, widely loved for his speed and dexterity in the game of football, was with some members of his family and sustained minor injuries but unfortunately, his younger brother, Ibrahim did not survive the crash as he died on the spot.

Ibrahim was also said to have played international football.
