"Trained officers will be conducting regular assessments using digital data collection tools in communities to assess the level of awareness juxtaposed to sensitizing the populace of the Implementing States."
A One-day intensive training has been organized by the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) for technical staff of the Advocacy and Knowledge Management Unit.
The training which held in Abuja, the nation's capital on Friday, 31st May 2024, will see trained officers conducting regular assessments using digital data collection tools in communities to assess the level of awareness juxtaposed to sensitizing the populace of the Implementing States.
These activities are envisaged to support the driving demand for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) through the implementation of context-specific publicity and communication activities. This will also facilitate the sharing of experiences and lessons learned for improved health outcomes.
The National Programme Manager (NEMSAS), Dr. Saidu Ahmed Dumbulwa noted the importance of advocacy and behavioural change communication as NEMSAS moves toward the Rural Emergency Service and Maternal Transport (RESMAT) Programme as part of the National Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative.
