KADIRS, NFIU SIGN MoU TO BOOST REVENUE, FIGHT AGAINST TAX CRIMES

The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, KADIRS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with the Nigerian Financial and Intelligence Unit (NFIU) Abuja.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU by the Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NFIU, Hajia Hafsat Bakari and Honourable Jerry Adams for the KADIRS took place on Monday, 9 December at the NFIU Headquarters in Abuja.

"This epoch event climaxed a significant milestone to the existing relationship and collaboration between the two organizations in terms of revenue assurance, intelligence gathering, data sharing and the fight against tax crimes in Kaduna state as it relates to High Networth individuals especially." Adams revealed.

"It is noteworthy, that Kaduna IRS is the first among the sub Nationals to venture into this kind of collaboration and so far, this partnership has yielded remarkable results." He stated.

While thanking His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna state for his unwavering support towards improved revenue mobilization in Kaduna State, the Executive chairman of KADIRS also noted that, "the service also appreciates NFIU for its steadfastness and commitment towards ensuring a smooth and favorable collaboration."
