Mrs Esther Didi WaIson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has commended the rigorous and transparent approach adopted throughout the selection process for the appointment of an Accountant-General of the Federation
This is as the selection process for the appointment of an Accountant-General progressed to its final stage, with five (5) candidates successfully advancing to the oral interview.
This development follows the conclusion of the ICT proficiency test conducted for the ten (10) candidates who passed the initial stage of the selection process.
The oral interview which was scheduled to take place on Friday, 14th February 2025, will serve as a critical evaluation of the candidates’ leadership abilities and strategic vision for managing the office of the Accountant-General.
In a Press Statement signed by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director, Information and Public Relations, it stated that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation commended the rigorous and transparent approach adopted throughout the selection process.
Mrs Didi WaIson-Jack was said to have expressed satisfaction with the professionalism demonstrated so far, highlighting that the ICT proficiency test was conducted on a merit-based platform to ensure that only the most qualified candidates advanced.

Additionally, the oral interview for the seven (7) Permanent Secretaries who previously qualified will also be held on Friday, 14th February 2025. The statement reads
