SURVEYOR GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION RECEIVES SURCON REGISTRATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION REPORT FROM EX- MINISTER

The report of the Ad–Hoc Committee on Year 2024 Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) Registration and Professional Examinations, has been submitted to the Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF) Surv. Abudulganiyu Adeyemi Adebomehin.

Presenting the report to the Surveyor General is the Chairman of the Committee, Surv. Suleiman Hassan Zarma, a former Minister of Environment.

Surv. Suleiman Hassan Zarma made the presentation alongside other members of the committee to the SGOF in his office today. The other members of the Committee include; the Registrar of SURCON, Surv. Olugbemiro Olakunle and Surv. Umar Nasir.

In his remarks while receiving thel committee report, Surveyor General of the Federation said, “Yeah, after the submission, all I need to do is to put a covering note on it, send it to the Minister that the assignment has been successfully completed, and he should give us approval to publish it in the daily news, that is when we complete the process”.

Adding that “And having done that, when they finish the assignment, I am only a trustee of that authority on behalf of the Minister, until when there is a full council in place.”

Earlier, Chairman of the Committee and Ex Minister of Environment while presenting the report said; “This is a presentation of the Committee for Registration and Examination of Surveyors for the year 2024. It's a committee which was constituted by the Surveyor General of the Federation and the mandates he received from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the absence of Council. We have conducted both registration and examination successfully and we are here to submit the report”.
