TUNJI-OJO RECEIVES FCT NUJ COUNCIL LEADERSHIP. .... Reiterates His Open Doors Policy To All, Including Journalists

Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reiterated that his doors open to all, including members of the media, who he sees as reliable and credible partners in progress.


Tunji-Ojo restated this while receiving the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council led by its Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike who were on a courtesy visit to his office, assuring of the support of the Ministry of Interior.


He lauded the important role of the media as the watch dog holding the government accountable and ensuring that leaders live up to their responsibilities. He also congratulated the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, on her historic emergence as the first female Chairman of NUJ FCT Council, acknowledging her impressive track record as a correspondent and leader of the Press Corps at the National Assembly.

The Chairman of NUJ, FCT Council, Comrade Grace lke expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted areas of concern, describing the Minister as a committed youth with a passion for driving positive changes in the country. She encouraged the Minister to continue partnering with the media as the Ministry of Interior delivers on its mandate in fulfillment of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
