Boro Is Alive, Amnesty Boss, Otuaro Declares. .... Says "He Is Our Hero


..... Appeals to the Ijaw people to sustain the existing peace as they celebrate Maj. Boro whom he described as a father and national hero. 

.... Says, "We should love ourselves including our neighbors. When we are giving out love, we should be vigilant and protect our lands."



Chief Dennis Otuaro, Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme has stated that the late Maj. Jasper Isaac Adaka Boro is alive. 


Chief Otuaro made the assertion at the 57th Boro Day celebration held at the Chief Tunde Smooth playground in the commercial capital city of Delta State, Warri. 


Otuaro, in a remark at the event said the people of Ijaw, especially the youths should be bold and courageous in their pursuit of resource control. 


He appealed to the Ijaw people to sustain the existing peace as they celebrate Maj. Boro whom he described as a father and national hero. 


He also said that another Adaka Isaac Boro will rise up in the future in a another form. 


While noting that the venue wherein the event was held was a stronghold of the Ijaws, Chief Otuaro said, "We should love ourselves including our neighbors." He also warned that, "When we are giving out love, we should be vigilant and protect our lands."


Chief Otuaro also said the Ijaw people should support themselves and not bring trouble to their communities. 


"Anytime we are peaceful, our communities is peaceful." The Presidential Amnesty Programme Coordinator stated.


He assured that the Presidential Amnesty Programme will get to the people especially the women, men and youths of the Niger Delta especially the Ijaw people.
