END OF THE ROAD: VANDAL GETS ELECTROCUTED IN EBONYI STATE

Despite series of appeals and warnings on the inherent dangers against vandalizing the nation's infrastructure by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), an attempt by a vandal to vandalize the transmission Tower 34 along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132kV Transmission Line in Ebonyi State, on 19th July, 2025, became his nemesis as he electrocuted while attempting to carry out his nefarious act.

According to the General Manager Public Affairs Division of the TCN, Ndidi Mbah, in a statement issued and made available to Naij News Alert, "the body of the electrocuted vandal hanging on the tower has since been brought down. 

"TCN has consistently warned against such acts, emphasizing the potentially fatal consequences of tampering with transmission infrastructure, which carries high voltages critical to national development and poses significant risks to health and safety." The statement read.

"TCN urges the public to protect electricity infrastructure within their vicinity and report any suspicious activity around power installations to security operatives or any TCN offices nationwide." The statement concluded.
