COURT RESTRAINS NIGERIA POLICE FROM ENFORCING TINTED GLASS POLICY SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 2026

A High Court, sitting in Orerokpe, Delta State on Thursday, 17th December, granted the order and also placed all the respondents which include the Inspector General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force and the Delta State Commissioner of Police on notice.

This follows a suit filed by the applicant, a human rights activist, Israel Joe with the lead counsel Mr. Kunle Edun (SAN) and five other lawyers.

According to the activist, Israel Joe, "this is victory for democracy and we hereby call on the Inspector General of Police to obey the court order and jettison every planned enforcement." He stated.
