LG Electronics has been named the “Most Trusted Electronic Brand” in Nigeria for 2026, after securing 57.1 per cent of the consumer and citizen voice vote in the television category at the fifth edition of the Consumer Value Awards, CVA.
The award, organised by BrandXchange, a brand management company, recognised LG Electronics as the winner following a consumer and citizen voice voting process that placed consumers at the centre of the selection.
The recognition, according to the organisers, underscores the importance of consumer voice, choice and value in determining brands that resonate with Nigerians.
Speaking on the award, Head, Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics Nigeria, Mr Paul Mba, said the recognition reflected the confidence consumers continue to place in the LG brand.
Mba said: “Being recognised as the Most Trusted Electronic Brand is a meaningful reflection of the confidence consumers place in LG.
“For us, trust is built every day through innovation that genuinely improves lives, quality products and a commitment to delivering experiences that put consumers first.
“We are grateful to Nigerian consumers for this recognition, and it further inspires us to continue creating solutions that make Life’s Good.”
Also speaking at the event, Convener of the Consumer Value Awards, Akonte Ekine, said the awards were founded on the belief that consumers deserved a stronger voice in the marketplace.
Ekine explained that the category under which LG Electronics emerged winner recognised brands across various sectors, stressing that the awards continued to place emphasis on Consumer Voice, Consumer Choice and Consumer Value.
He said the CVA was deliberately designed not merely as an awards ceremony, but as an evolving consumer engagement platform aimed at encouraging brands, institutions and government to listen to the people they serve.
“We believe that consumers and citizens are the paymasters. And paymasters deserve a better experience,” Ekine said.
