CONTINUOUS APPOINTMENTS OF PDP MEMBERS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO DELTA APC MEMBERS
The Chairman of the Delta APC Elders Forum, Chief Engr. Hyacinth Enuha has raised an alarm over the continuous appointment into Federal Boards and Agencies, of those he described as Aliens to the APC in the state.
In a terse statement signed by his Media Assistant, Nnamdi Ofonye who also doubles as his Personal Assistant, Enuha expressed his utmost disaffection over the gradual disbandment of the state chapter of the APC through such appointments.
Chief Enuha, in the statement, noted that although the internal crisis in the party has not helped matters, stressed that it is not enough to totally shut out all those who laboured and risked both their lives, energy, time and resources facing the PDP in the state especially during the 2015 elections.
"This news that just filtered in over the appointment of a known and core PDP member into a federal board is one too many".
"A man that is presently an appointee to Governor Okowa is the height of political disgrace that we as leaders and followers of APC in the state will have to contend with", he said.
Enuha described the appointment as not only unacceptable but the height of injustice and maltreatment of members of the party in the state.
"We all know President Muhammadu Buhari to be a man that likes fairness, equity and hardwork. So if that is the case, except the President was lied to as to membership of the appointee, I see no reason why after our hardwork we will be abandoned for those who fought him and are still ready to fight him to get empowered".
The Party chieftain immediately called on all the Party Elders and Leaders including Olorogun Otega Emerhor, Chief Great Ogboru, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, Senator Ovie Omo Agege and Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to join in resisting this anomaly.
He further listed Prof. Pat Utomi, Bar. Festus Keyamo, Dr. Alex Ideh, Hon. Temi Harriman, Chief Ayiri Emami, Chief Jerry Esigie, Chief Frank Kokori, Chief Adolor Okotie Eboh, Chief Pa Ideh, Hon. Halims Agoda, PZ Aghinigha, Dr. Mrs Veronica Ogbuagu, DIG Ugbaja (rtd) among others to immediately come together on a round table and seek for ways to tackle the issue at hand with the urgency it requires including mobilising enmasse and as a team to Abuja to seek redress.
The chairman of the APC Elders Forum in Delta state warned that if nothing urgent is done, then the future of Delta APC is not sure any more as even the followers across the state are already demoralised with the news adding that he is prepared to join hands with the other Leaders and Elders to get this unjust treatment corrected.
