INADEQUATE MANPOWER; MAJOR CHALLENGE TO POLICE...Says DIG Dagala

An equipped police force with the required manpower and logistics to combat crime will always provide effective results.

One of the major challenges confronting the Nigerian Police Force, is inadequate manpower.

This was the assertion of Harrison Dagala, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) supervising the North-East.

Harrison Dagala gave this disclosure during an official visit to the Adamawa State Command in Yola, the state capital.

"The modern police force is that police force that makes the best use of technology. You need technology in order to police, because the criminals have gone beyond their rudimental time, so you must try to match with them".

DIG Dagala, who is on an official tour of Police formations in Nigeria’s North-east, came with a message from the Inspector General of Police to brief personnel at the Command on what the management was doing to motivate them.

He commended them for their efforts in the fight against the Boko Haram terrorists.
