ABIDE BY THE PROCUREMENT ACT (2007) IN ALL PROCESS OF PROCUREMENT.........USANI Tells NDDC Management In Rivers State

The Honourable Minister in charge of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Nguru Usani has once again, reiterated the present administration's belief in being transparent and accountable.


The Minister's position was made known in a statement signed by the Director of Press, Marshall Gundu, following series of complaints of difficulties being experienced in the process of Procurement at the Headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Port-Harcourt, River state,

According to Usani, the Buhari administration believes in Transparency and Accountability in Procurement process for the Award of contracts in all government’s Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

"The essence of this is to ensure that interested members of the public with the Financial and Technical capabilities are allowed to take part in Procurement process", he said.

Pastor Usani therefore cautioned that, "in the light of the foregoing, the management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is advised to strictly abide by the Procurement Act (2007) in the Procurement Process by ensuring a level playing ground for all interested contractors", the statement read.

"All members of the public are, by this notice, entitled to access Procurement documents for lots of their interests", the statement concluded.
