CALM RESTORED AS POLICE DISPEL PROTESTING YOUTHS IN KADUNA
Protesting youths in Sabo, a community in Kaduna have been dispelled by men of the Nigerian Police and the army.
The youths, ostensibly unemployed were said to have embarked on the protest following attempts by some group to demolish The Green Apple, a hospitality outfit located adjacent to the Sabo Post Office which has long been in contention in the court since the late 80's.
Sources who spoke with NAIJ NEWS ALERT disclosed that following the judgement of the court in favour of one of the parties, there were attempts at pulling down some sections of the property which was resisted by some youths, resulting to fracas.
According to the sources, some miscreants were reported to have move to the busy Sabo road (Kachia Road).
The melee that resulted from the protest sent commuters and residents scampering for safety while non residents ran into the Army Strike Force post.
However, as at the time of this report, calm had been restored with business activities going on.
