KADUNA LAW MAKER KIDNAPPED

The spate of kidnap cases within Kaduna state is daily becoming as one Isa Salihu, membe of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, representing Magajin Garin Constituency of the state, has been reportedly abducted by a group of unidentified armed men.


The kidnap of Honourable Salihu is coming on the heels other abduction of about 20 persons on Wednesday along Kaduna-Abuja road at about 1pm.

According to available reports, the State Assembly member was in company of three other persons in a car when the incident occurred along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road.

A Channels TV report said that the lawmaker and the others, whose identities were not clear, were abducted on Friday while traveling from the state capital, to Birnin Gwari.

Although, the details of his abduction are still sketchy, there are yet to be confirmations by either the State Police Command or the Legislature in the state.

When NAIJ NEWS  ALERT  put a call to the State Police Command, the PPRO, ASP Aliyu Usman could not confirm or deny the report but requested our correspondent to call back later.

An inside source at the state House of Assembly disclosed that efforts are being made to rescue the lawmaker from his abductors.
