"Fayose, An Irresponsible Clown" – Sagay says

The comments and actions of the Ekiti state governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose has continued to draw flak from supporters of the Buhari administration.


With the President sick and away from office this past 70-80days, there have been calls for his resignation to enable the country move ahead. This call is being challenged by some party loyalists and admirers of President Buhari.

Fayose's statements, in which "he is threat to release photographs of the sick President on life support machine", has attracted the ire of constitutional lawyer, Prof. Itse Sagay.

Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has described Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti as an irresponsible clown for threatening to release recent pictures of President Muhammadu Buhari to prove he is critically ill.

Fayose who spoke with newsmen in Abuja had described the statement of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo that President Buhari is in good health as a lie.

“If they go further and try to continue to deceive Nigerians, I will release about 11 damaging pictures anytime from now on the President’s health” the governor had said.

Reacting to Fayose’s statement, Sagay said Fayose is embarrassing himself and his position as governor each time he speaks.

“Fayose is an irresponsible clown. Given his age and position, he is an embarrassment to this country. Each time he opens his mouth, he reduces his non-existent esteem”.

“He does have any esteem, so whenever he talks, he just reduces himself to nothingness. So, he is talking rubbish and should be ignored. I believe he has been ignored at the federal level. Let that continue” he said.
