OSINBAJO BLOWS HOT; SACKS 2 NEWLY APPOINTED AIDES.

Nigeria's Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has shown his disdain for persons with cases  being investigated by relevant agencies of government such as the ICPC.

According to available reports, the Acting President on Saturday night, sacked two new nominees appointed to the reconstituted board of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.
The two nominees are Mrs. Sa’ad Alanamu and Mrs Maimuna Aliyu.

It could be recalled, that media reports had it that Aliyu, a former Executive Director at Aso Savings and Loans, was being investigated for allegedly stealing and diverting public funds, and that charges were being drawn up against her by the ICPC before the appointment.

On the other hand, Alanamu was reported to have been under investigation for among other allegations, bribery, during his tenure as Chairman of the Kwara State College of Education.

“The two ICPC nominated Commissioners reported to be under investigation, have been sacked, and won’t be members of the Commission”, an official in the Presidency stated.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had named a new Chairman, and board members of the Commission.

He redeployed the Commission’s Chairman, Ekpo Nta, to the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, and replaced him with Prof. Bolaji Owasanoy
