Therefore, the wedding between Aliyu Adamu and Hajara Ibrahim Bako in Kaduna, few weeks back can best be described as such as it was an array of dignitaries and, who else stole the show if not the woman in the news; the amazon of the northern politics, Senator Aisha Alhassan, popularly referred to as "Mama Taraba" by her ever icreasing supporters and admirers.

Aisha Alhassan, a news maker any day, has carved her name in the political "sands of northern history" with her enviable records; from being National President of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, female gubernatorial aspirant in an.election.keenly contested by men and now, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representig Taraba state in the National Assembly.

Senator Aisha Alhassan was the cynosure of all eyes as she danced with the grace of the amazon that she is, with the "Amariya" of the day, the beautiful Hajara Ibrahim Bako (grand-daughter of Senator Nuhu Aliyu and his adorable wife, Hajia Saratu Iya; another woman of exceptional disposition.

The Bride's grand-mother; Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu has also carved a name filled with respectabilty, humility and an overflowing repository of admiration for herself in the supposedly male dominated business community, not just inthe northern region but nationally and internationally as she holds the position of 1st Deputy National President of the National Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA the body that supervises the activities of the numerous business organisations in the country.
